Derby Line Border Goes to the Dogs!

Filed under: Gossip around the woodstove — info at 6:13 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2006

Troy, VT, January 10, 2006 — Brigitte Nadeau, with 20 years of photographic experience is a professional Dog Photographer who caters to dog owners and dog art lovers. ‘La Puparazzi’ is presently exhibiting Dog Photos at what can be considered ‘the border line’.

The Exhibit takes place at the Haskell Library, Derby Line, Vermont, which is probably the only cultural institution on this planet with a split personality. That’s because the U.S./Canadian border slices right through the “La Puparazzi” Dog art photo exhibit. A thick black line runs diagonally across the exhibit room floor to mark the international boundary.

“It is fun to see that half of my exhibit is in Canada and I did not have to cross Immigration and Customs to get to see it”.

Brigitte’s photo exhibit features a selection of black and white portraits of adorable dogs where you can “feel” their souls captured.

Another section displays portraits that have been hand colored using watercolor ink. Just a touch of color is added to the black and white portrait or in some case the entire photo. The goal is always to emphasize the emotion that the dog was gracious enough to show during the photo session and make you feel part of their personality.

The Exhibit is on until January 31, 2006
