Vermont Teddy Bear Company
One of the biggest attractions is Vermont Teddy Bear in Shelburne, Vermont. If you're visiting the Burlington area, you should definitely check out Vermont Teddy Bear along with Shelburne Museum which is just a few miles away. They've got just about every type of bear you can imagine for all occasions, so check them out and make a day of it in Shelburne! Vermont Teddy Bear Company is the largest maker of hand-crafted, American-made Teddy Bears! Surrounded by the Green Mountains, Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains, the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory is located in historic Shelburne, Vermont, USA.
The USA goes "Crazy For You": On Valentine's Day 2005, Vermont Teddy Bear offered the "Crazy for You" Bear dressed in a white straight jacket with a red heart embroidered on the front of the jacket. A "Commitment Papers" tag was included bearing (pun intended) the inscription "Can't eat, can't sleep, my heart's racing. Diagnosis – crazy for you." Under pressure from mental health groups and other politically correct zealots, the "Crazy About You" Bear was discontinued after the initial inventory was exhausted and soon became hot collectibles on eBay.
