Tour de Kingdom Cycling Events 2009

The 2009 Tour de Kingdom is a one or two day competitive and recreational cycling event that takes you through one of the most scenic areas of Vermont, the Northeast Kingdom - one of ten geotourism areas in the world specially designated by National Geographic. Aquafest is back!

Lake MemphremagogNewport, Vermont’s premier community summer event takes place in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. It all starts at Prouty Beach, July 23-26, 2009 with new events, new entertainment and some older events that are back by popular demand such as the Aquafest Bed Races. Events include The NEW Parade of the Pets, Newport’s Got Talent, The Kingdom Swim, a fantastic volleyball tournament, kayak races, live entertainment, children’s events, great food and lots more. Vermont’s North Country Chamber of Commerce, IROC and The Newport City Recreation Department sponsor the event.
