Lost Ski Areas in Vermont

Have you ever wondered what happened to your favorite Vermont ski area? Why did it close? What was the history behind it? Ever driven by a closed ski area and wondered what it was, its legacy?
New England Lost Ski Areas Project (NELSAP) exists to answer your questions. Stories, pictures, and hard facts are used to describe the lost ski areas of New England and elsewhere. Since October of 1998 more than 600 areas have been listed on their site! Your input is critical to the future growth of NELSAP. If you'd like to send them some information, please visit their "Contribute Info" page to learn how, or send an email to nelsap@yahoo.co.

Central Vermont (43 areas) Southern Vermont (21 areas) Lost Areas incorporated into operating ski areas!

The Lost are Found!
Closed ski areas that have reopened in Vermont! (3 areas)

Small areas that are still OPEN!

Many, many thanks to Jeremy Davis of New England Lost Ski Areas Project (NELSAP) for his permission to feature his work on the Vermont Northeast Kingdom Guide.
